3-11. PNVS TURRET ASSEMBLY REMOVAL (cont)
16. Move PNVS turret assembly (24) in opposite
direction (para 3-3) to get to fifth captive
mounting screw (32). The fifth screw will
come into view when PNVS turret assembly
has been turned about 180°.
17. Loosen captive mounting screw (32). After
loosening screw, make sure it hangs freely.
NOTE
References to right and left are defined as
being viewed from pilot or CPG station.
18. Move PNVS turret assembly (24) in opposite
direction (para 3-3) until balance weight (33)
is about 2 inches to the right of terminal board
TB1 (34). At this point, shroud window cover
should be about 45° left of fixed forward
position.
19. Place turret assembly holding fixture on
maintenance platform or ground, as
applicable.
