3-11. PNVS TURRET ASSEMBLY REMOVAL (cont)
CAUTION
Do not let PNVS turret assembly rest on
cable and connector. The cable and
connector can be damaged.
Do not let small guide pin go into slot first. If
that happens, large guide pin will not go all
the way into hole and pin can be damaged or
pushed up into base. A pushed up pin can
damage internal wiring.
NOTE
Step 21 below requires three personnel.
21. Install PNVS turret assembly on PNVS turret
holding fixture.
a. Position PNVS turret assembly (24) over
PNVS turret holding fixture (37) so that
shroud window cover (38) is located over
word FRONT stenciled on holding fixture.
b. Lower PNVS turret assembly (24) while one
person feeds connector end of cable (5)
through center of PNVS turret holding
fixture (37).
CAUTION

If that happens, the large guide pin will not go
all the way into hole and pin can be damaged
or pushed up into base. A pushed up pin can
damage internal wiring.
c. Continue to lower PNVS turret assembly
(24) until large guide pin (39) goes all the
way into hole (40) and small guide pin (41)
goes into slot (42).
d. If needed, slowly move PNVS turret
assembly (24) around until large guide pin
(39) goes into hole (40). Move PNVS turret
assembly (24) again until small guide pin
(41) goes into slot (42).
e. Hand tighten three captive screws (43).
f. Secure cable assembly (5) by pressing
connector end of cable into cable clip (44).
