3-11. PNVS TURRET ASSEMBLY REMOVAL (cont)
NOTE
If TADS turret is being replaced, do steps
g and h.
g. Apply corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound to screwlock post (15).
Use class 1A application (para 3-5).
h. Install screwlock post (15) on interface
cable W1 connector J3 (11) using flat
washer (14), lockwasher (13), and nut (12).
6. Disconnect PNVS turret assembly ground
straps (20 and 21).
NOTE
PNVS cables which have been modified to add
EMI shielding have two ground straps. Cables
which have not been modified have one
ground strap.
a. Remove old corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound from ground strap
mounting hardware (para 3-5).
b. Remove screw (16), lockwasher (17), steel
flat washer (18), and aluminum flat washer
(19).
c. Disconnect ground straps (20 and 21) from
terminal E1 (22) of aircraft interface
assembly.
