3-10. RIM CLENCHING CLAMP REPLACEMENT (cont)
INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT - TYPE II
4. Install and adjust rim clenching clamp (8).
a. Hold rim clenching clamp (8) at an angle
above PNVS turret assembly (1). Make
sure latch handle (5) is on PNVS window
cover assembly (2) side of PNVS turret
assembly.
b. Lower rim clenching clamp (8) along a
sloped path past PNVS window cover
assembly (2).
c. Spread rim clenching clamp (8) wide
enough to clear balance weight (11).
d. Lower rim clenching clamp (8) past balance
weight (11).
e. Engage rim clenching clamp (8) over mated
rims (9 and 10).
f. Hook catch (19) onto T-bolt (7) and position
latch between LATCH location lines (17) on
PNVS shroud assembly.
g. If you cannot hook catch (19) onto T-bolt
(6), make T-bolt longer by unscrewing
locknut (20). Then hook catch onto T-bolt.
