3-12. PNVS TURRET ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION (cont)
CAUTION
Damage to the PNVS cable may occur if the
cable is not moved out of the way of TADS
wire strike ice fairing brackets while turning
TADS turret assembly.
NOTE
If TADS turret is not equipped with wire strike
protection, omit step 14 below.
14. Move and secure PNVS cable out of the way
of wire strike ice fairing brackets.
15. Turn TADS turret assembly (para 3-4) 90°.
This provides work space behind right side of
TADS turret assembly.
16. Find first captive mounting screw (20).
a. Look up at underside of large gear of
azimuth drive gimbal assembly (1).
b. Find first captive mounting screw (20),
which is to the right of oblong depression
(21) in large gear.
17. Engage captive mounting screw (20) in
threaded hole and hand tighten screw.
