TRICHLOROTRIFLUOROETHANE
• Toxic, irritating. Can cause breathing
problems, eye damage.
• Don’t: Let it get on skin, or breathe vapors.
• Do: Use in well-ventilated area, close
containers when not using. Wear acid-type
safety goggles, rubber gloves, and rubber
apron.
• If it contacts skin or eyes, wash affected
areas with running water. Get medical help
at once.
• If you experience any breathing problems,
get to fresh air at once.

30. Prepare surface around E1 hole (27) for
electrical bonding.
a. Sand recessed area around El hole (27)
using abrasive paper.
b. Moisten clean cheesecloth with
trichlorotrifluoroethane and wipe sanded
area.
c. Let wiped surface air dry.
d. Using artist brush, apply chemical film to
bare metal surface.
e. Allow treated surface to air dry for 4 to 5
minutes.
f. Wet a clean cloth with water and lightly
wipe treated surface. If treated surface
shows streaks, wipe treated surface again
until streaks are gone.
g. Allow treated surface to air dry.
