3-12. PNVS TURRET ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION (cont)
31. Install PNVS turret assembly ground strap(s)
(32 and 31).
NOTE
PNVS cables which have been modified to add
EMI shielding have two ground straps. Cables
which have not been modified have one
ground strap.
a. Assemble lockwasher (28), steel flat
washer (29), terminal of ground strap(s)
(30 and 31), and aluminum flat washer
(32) on screw (33).
b. Install and tighten screw (33) in threaded
insert in E1 hole (27).
c. Have PNVS turret assembly ground strap
installation inspected.
d. Apply corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound. Use class 2 application
(para 3-5).
CAUTION
Alternately turn each screwlock one to two
turns. To do otherwise will bend connector
contacts.
32. Connect turret connector P1 (34).
a. Mate P1 (41) with interface cable W1
connector J3 (35) on side wall (36) of
aircraft interface assembly (14).
b. Tighten two screwlocks (37 and 38).
NOTE
When installing turret connector P1 (34), if
accessing screwlock (38) is difficult, perform
steps c thru h.
c. Remove screwlock post (39) from
connector J3 (35) by removing nut (40),
lockwasher (41), and flat washer (42).
