3-12. PNVS TURRET ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION (cont)
NOTE
Do not push seal through hole in interface
assembly. The seal cannot be pulled back
through the hole without removing the turret
assembly and reinstalling it.
29. Install rubber seal (7) in hole (16).
a. Gently pull cable assembly (3) as far as it
will go.
b. Slide seal (7) along cable (3) until seal
reaches EMI/RFI shield (8).
c. Carefully slide seal (7) over EMI/RFI shield
(8) until rubber seal (7) is in the center of
the EMI/RFI shield (8).
d. Squeeze end of rubber seal (7) with fingers
and insert end of seal into hole (16).
e. Hold cable assembly (3) and carefully push
seal (7) into hole (16) until 3/8 inch of seal
remains outside of hole.
f. Make sure rubber seal (7) is in the center of
the EMI/RFI shield (8) after installation is
complete.
