3-15. PNVS SHROUD ASSEMBLY REMOVAL (cont)
c. Tilt point (2) about 20 to 30° as shown.
CAUTION
Use care when lifting PNVS shroud assembly
so that it does not catch on internal parts or
scratch optical surfaces. Remove exactly as
instructed.
d. With PNVS shroud assembly (1) tilted,
slowly lift PNVS shroud assembly along a
sloped path as indicated by arrow. Stop
when rim (5) of PNVS shroud assembly at
point (3) is no more than 6 inches from
mounting base (6). This provides access to
PNVS shroud assembly cable connector
P1 (7).
CAUTION
Alternately turn each screwlock one to two
turns. To do otherwise will bend connector
contacts.
NOTE
Step 3 requires two persons. One person
supports PNVS shroud assembly. The other
person disconnects connector.
3. Disconnect PNVS shroud assembly cable
connector P1 (7).
a. Loosen two screwlocks (8).
b. Disconnect PNVS shroud assembly cable
connector P1 (7) from connector J4 (9).
