3-15. PNVS SHROUD ASSEMBLY REMOVAL (cont)
CAUTION
• Do not touch any optical surface after you
remove the PNVS shroud assembly. Dirt on
your fingers (sweat and body oil) will get on
optical surface causing an unnecessary
cleaning task. Cleaning too often will wear
away coating on optical surface.
• Do not touch any of the mirror assembly
steel bands. The bands might bend or
stretch and cause poor operation.
4. Remove PNVS shroud assembly (1).
a. Continue lifting PNVS shroud assembly (1)
along a sloped path as shown by arrow.
Stop when PVNS shroud assembly clears
elevation mirror assembly (10).
b. Place PNVS shroud assembly (1) on clean
surface for temporary storage.
