1. Prior to installing the electrical tap connectors, ensure the helmet has been modified in
accordance with Army MWO 1-8415-216-20-1, paragraph 1 thru 10.b.(2)(d).
2. After paragraph 1 thru 10.b.(2)(d) has been successfully accomplished, install electrical
tap connectors in accordance with the procedures below. (See Figure5-1).
CAUTION
When pulling the cord through the grommet in step 5-7a.3, (below) do not pull on the
thin white or black wires.
3. From outside the earcup, insert the interface harness into the newly drilled hole and
seat the grommet. (See Army MWO 1-8415-216-20-1, Figure 8). Pull additional wire through
the grommet into the earcup to make electrical tap connectors wiring easier.
