NOTE
If dayside cover with lanyard is installed, omit
step e below.
e. Install dayside window cover assembly (4)
and nightside window cover assembly (5).
f. Install dayside window cover assembly (4)
with attached boresight protective cover (3)
and nightside window cover assembly (5).
Let boresight protective cover hang down.
6. Proceed with maintenance task.
INTO STOW
CAUTION
• All covers must be removed to prevent
jamming when moving turret assembly into
stow.
• Optics are exposed during this task. Do not
touch or bump optics. Contact with optical
surfaces will cause damage and an
unwanted cleaning task. Cleaning too often
will wear away coating on optical surfaces.
7. Remove dayside window cover assembly (4)
and nightside window cover assembly (5).
