Referring to Figure 4-51,
remove the screw (1),
spring washer, and post
attaching the side leg of the
Cobra visor housing to the
helmet shell.
Move the Cobra visor hous-
ing leg away from the shell,
and reinstall the screw (1),
spring, and post (without the
leg attached) into the hole in
the shell where it was just
removed.
Referring to Figure 4-51,
back the the four thumb-
screws (2) attaching the
Cobra visor housing to the
helmet shell out of the nut
plates. Remove the Cobra
visor assembly (including
visor housing, thumb-
screws, visor lenses, and
track assemblies) from the
helmet.
NOTE
The Cobra module is accountable
as MTOE and will remain with the
unit.
Installation
1. Referring to Figure 4-52,
Align the visor assembly on
the helmet shell. Start all
four thumbscrews into the
nut plate. DO NOT tighten
any of the screws until all
four have been started.
