CAUTION
• Optics are exposed during PMCS. Do not touch or bump optics.
Contact with the optical surfaces will cause damage and an
unwanted cleaning task. Cleaning too often will wear away coating
on optical surfaces.
• Don’t touch any of the mirror assembly steel bands. The bands
might bend or stretch and cause poor operation.

Check electronic shielding gasket for bonding separation, any tears,
cracks, cuts and deterioration. If discrepancies are noted, install
PNVS shroud assembly (para 3-16) and replace turret assembly
(para 3-11 and 3-12).
