1-10. EQUIPMENT DATA.
a. Weight. The AIHS weighs approximately 3 Ibs. (1.38kg.). This weight includes the
following subassemblies:
1. Helmet shell
2. Chinstrap and nape strap pad
3. Shell, Earphone Assembly
4. Lining, Helmet, Shock (EALITPL)
5. Communication system
6. Dual-visor assembly
b. Sizes and Dimensions. The AIHS is available in six sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L, and XL.
By design, only four sizes (S.M,L, and XL) of the helmet shell are needed. AIHS sizes
XXS, XS, and S are accommodated by a size S helmet shell incorporating varying
liner thicknesses. The dimensions for each helmet shell size are as indicated in Table
1-1.
c. Cobra DVA and EOHSS SAU Housing Sizes. Table 1-2 indicates the the sizes of the
Cobra DVA and EOHSS SAU to be used with each size of the AIHS helmet.
