HGU-56/P Field Change Kit (1680-ALSE-194-10)
Personnel Required
ALSE Specialist/Technician with ASI or H2/Q2 (ALSE Qualified)
1.
Remove the visor assembly from the helmet in accordance with paragraph 4-13h.
2.
Remove the visors and tracks from the visor housing in accordance with paragraph 4-13h.
3.
Gently clean the inside surface of the visor housing with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth
or brush.
4.
Use a clean airstream to remove any remaining dust, dirt, or lint.
5.
Peel the backing paper from the vinyl strips and install as shown below. Ensure that the
bottom edges of the plates are flush with the bottom edge of the visor housing. If
necessary, trim the vinyl strips so that they are flush with the housing edge.
6.
Reinstall the visors and tracks on the visor housing in accordance with paragraph 4-13h.
7.
Reinstall the visor on the helmet in accordance with paragraph 4-13h.
