2.3.3 Inserting the Monitor within Sampler Valve Hose Assembly

With the quick-release valve in place, you are ready to select a
monitor. Use contamination monitors (blue and red protective plugs) for
color comparator testing and matched-weight monitors (yellow and red
protective plugs) for gravimetric testing. Remove the plugs from the
monitor: remove the bottom (red) plug from the monitor first, followed
by the top (blue or yellow) plug (Figure 2.3). Keep plugs in a safe place for
replacement on monitors when test is completed.
