NOTE
Screws, retaining rings, tracks, and bushings are shown on one side
only in Figure 4-30. A similar configuration exists for the other side.
Referring to Figure 4-30, remove four thumbscrews (2) that attach visor
assembly to helmet.
Remove-thumb-
screws trom visor
assembly.
3. Remove housing (1)
from tracks (4, 5, 6).
4. Disassemble visors
(9, 10) and tracks
by removing retain-
ing rings (3) and
bushings (7).
Repeat for other
side.
NOTE
A nut plate (8) on the
underside of the helmet
shell holds the posts in
place, If the post threads
are stripped, remove
lining, helmet, shock (EAL)
as directed in paragraph
4-13a and replace the nut
plate.
5. Inspect components
in accordance with
Table 4-1 , and
replace as necessary.
