Flushing the Inlet Hose
a.
Turn the three-way valve to the FLUSH position: the valve arm is
horizontal to the base of the valve (Figure 2.11).
b.
Pass at least two volumes, about twice the containment of the assembly
system, 3 or more liters (3.2 quarts), into the 5-gallon receptacle. This should
remove contaminants from the inlet valve, hose, and three-way valve.
