OPERATION UNDER USUAL CONDITIONS

Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Click Properties
Verify (or set) IP address 10.10.10.2, Subnet Mask =255.255.255.0, Default gateway 10.10.10.1.
Click OK to close TCP/IP Properties.
Close Network Properties
Double-click PCIDM Control Panel
Click on the square IDM icon in the task tray
Verify (or set) IP Address = 10.10.10.1.
Both B and P lights should show green
2. Ground SINCGARS Setup for AMPS Messaging
Turn on radio and set to LD
Select FREQ button
Select Menu/CLR button
Enter in Freq (single frequency or hop freq) (ex: 30000)
Select store
Select data button on key pad
Select CHG key. Scroll through until or 4800 (other rates can be used but 4800 chosen based on field
settings) displays
Select Menu/CLR button. Continue to cycle through the options paying attention to COMSEC. If using
CINSEC ensure the window reads CT
Select Time button on the key pad. VERIFY Julian date and time. For Freq Hop, the radio and aircraft
must be on the same date and time.
Place Radio select knob back to ON position.
NOTE
If using two radios, ensure that both radios are set to the same frequency (FH or SC),
Same Baud rate, same TOD and the same COMSEC fills.
3. AMPS PCIDM Activation
Insert the PCIDM card in the top PCMCIA slot.
Double-click PCIDM Control Panel icon on desktop. A square IDM icon should appear in the task tray.
The icon should turn green.
Connect the cable from the SINCGARS radio Aud/Data port to the CH1 pigtail on the CCIDM card.
