PCU Drive/Battery Slots
Figure 8 illustrates the controls, indicators, and connectors on the Drive/Battery Slots with a brief description of
their function.

DVD/CD Busy Indicator
When the indicator is lit or blinking, it indicates the disk is being accessed.

DVD/CD Eject Button
Pressed to unload and eject a disk from the drive.

DVD/CD Tray
Holds the disk.

Hard Disk Drive Cord
Used to remove the Hard Disk Drive.

Hard Disk Drive Slot
Holds the Hard Disk Drive.

Battery Retainers
Used to secure the batteries in position.

Battery Slots
Used to house the batteries.

Floppy Disk Eject Button
Press to unload and eject the floppy disk.

Floppy Disk Access Slot
Opening for insertion and removal of a floppy disk.

Floppy Drive Busy Indicator
When the indicator is blinking, indicates the floppy disk is being accessed.

Peripheral Bay Access Door
Provides access to the drive slots.
NOTE
Located next to Item No. 3 is a small hole. Inserting an extended
paperclip or similar object into the hole will open the DVD/CD
tray without power required.
