4-4. SERVICE UPON RECEIPT
The Flyer's Protective Helmet will be inspected, serviced, and operationally tested before it is placed in
everyday use.

4-6. CHECKING UNPACKED EQUIPMENT
a. Inspect the helmet for any damage incurred during shipment. If the equipment has been damaged,
report the damage on DD Form 6, Packing Improvement Report.
b. Check the helmet against the packing slip to see if the shipment is complete. Report all discrepancies
in accordance with the instructions contained in DA PAM 738-751.
c. Check to see whether the helmet has been modified.
