Inspect for damaged fasteners, frayed
stitching or defective buckle.
REMOVAL
1. Chin Strap (5)
a. Pull on end of strap (1) to release fast-
eners (2) from retention assembly (6).
b. Use one screwdriver to remove slotted
head screw (3) and post (4). Use other
screwdriver to hold post in place.
c. Remove chin strap (5) from retention
assembly (6).
