Section I. LUBRICATION INSTRUCTIONS
3-1. Operator lubrication. No lubrication is required.
3-2. Operator troubleshooting. You should perform troubleshooting procedures when you
encounter malfunctions of the AIHS helmet. Table 3-1 lists common helmet malfunc-
tions and associated tests, inspections, and corrective actions. Following are guidelines
for troubleshooting.
a. Before troubleshooting, ensure that you have performed the daily (pre-flight and post-
flight) Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS). Refer to Table 2-1.
b. This manual cannot list all possible malfunctions. If you encounter a malfunction not
listed in Table 3-1, notify Unit ALSE Technician.

3. UNABLE TO ADJUST NAPE STRAP.
Inspect nape strap for defective hardware.
Report condition to Unit ALSE Technician.
