2-1. Controls, Description and Use.
a. Chinstrap (Figure 2-1). The chinstrap (1) employs a double D-ring (5) for ease of tightening and loosening. A
chinpad (2) allows added comfort. The length of the chinstrap allows for donning and doffing of the helmet without the
need for repeated lacing through the D-rings.
b. Nape Strap (Figure 2-1). The nape strap features an adjustable hook-and-pile closure (3) for individual sizing and
an adjustable buckle (4) to ensure a snug fit.
