Section III. OPERATION UNDER USUAL CONDITIONS
2-4. GENERAL. This section provides instructions for wear and use of the SARVIP under normal operating conditions.
2-5. ASSEMBLY AND PREPARATION FOR USE
a.
Fitting Armor. To ensure the proper armor insert is selected, individuals must do the following.
(1)
Sit erect as shown; adjust feet to ensure that upper thighs are on a horizontal plane.
(2)
With upper arms hangingrelaxed, extend forearms and hands forward horizontally.
(3)
Place a 4-inch block of wood across your lap so that it is close to the body and in a horizontal position.
