When local conditions permit, verify that TACAN then GPS
aiding operations can be performed.
*J. Engine Performance. Perform only when directed by the
maintenance officer:
(1)
Record the following:
*(a) Engine serial number.
*(b) Engine hours since new.
*(c) Engine hours since overhaul.
(2)
Copilot's altimeter- Set 29.92 In. Hg.
(3)
Altitude - 10,000 feet pressure altitude.
(4)
Propeller - Set 2200 RPM.
(5)
Special electronic equipment (including INS) - OFF.
(6)
Ice vanes - Retract.
*(7) Torque (engine being checked) - Set based on Figure 6,
Section V, or ITT of 750°C (whichever is reached first).
(8)
Power (opposite engine) - Set to maintain 130 KIAS.
(9)
Allow conditions to stabilize for one minute then record the
following for engine being tested:
*(a) Airspeed (KIAS).
*(b) Pressure altitude.
*(c) Free air temperature.
*(d) ITT.
