2-1. DAMAGE FROM IMPROPER SETTINGS.
All operators should become thoroughly familiar with the operators controls and indicators, and with
the proper operating procedures for the Airmobile Laboratory. Certain precautions must be observed
in the operation of the equipment and its components. Procedures are presented in set sequence and
must be followed in sequence.
2-2. OPERATORS CONTROLS AND INDICATORS.
Table 2-1 contains the controls and indicators for the laboratory exterior. Tables 2-2 through 2-7 are
for the other functional systems within the laboratory. Operators controls and indicators for the
laboratory unique equipment are listed in Tables 2-9 and 2-10. The ECU controls are listed in Table
2-8. Operators controls and indicators for the refrigerator, convection ovens, gas alarm control unit,
RVP bath, ice maker, gum bath system, copper strip corrosion bath, analytical balance, etc., are
described in their respective TMs (see Appendix A for TM number).

Exterior. Figure 2-1 and Table 2-1 list the laboratorys exterior controls and indicators.

blower assembly. Must be opened during
purge operations.

Covers environmental control unit plenum

intakes. A microswitch senses when door is
opened or closed. Must be opened to initiate
purge cycle.
