2-7. OPERATING PROCEDURE. The following provides instructions on the operation and use of the vest, armor and
all survival, signal, and communication devices used with or provided by the SARVIP.

FLIGHT OPERATIONS WHILE WEARING SARVIP
Prior to flight operations in any aircraft, aviators/air crew members must insure that the
SARVIP vest and ballistic insert do not cause interference with flight controls, weapons
systems operation, or restrict performance of in-flight duties.
